MCFC Reserves and Academy

All future Elite Development Squad (ex reserves) games will now be played at the home of Hyde FC. The two clubs have entered into a three year partnership

Ground & Spectator Information-Hyde United

There are only one set of turnstiles for entrance to the ground and they are at the far end of the main car park

Kick Off Times

Usual kick off time for reserve games is 7pm, however as a number of academy games are also expected to be played at the ground, those times could vary. All times as always are subject to change, so it is best to check the fixture list first

Admission Costs

Admission to all reserve games is normally free to season ticket holders, however for MSC & LSC games there is normally a charge. Hyde's advertised prices for the season 2010-2011, for such games is £4 Adults £2 Concessions

Parking

Hyde have their own car park, however finding a space can be a bit hard to come by, especially when there are a lot of scouts in attendance, arrive early and should be ok. The near by leisure centre offers good free car parking and then there are always the side streets around the ground, but parking can be a bit tight

Teamsheets/Programmes

Team sheets are normally given away free of charge at the turnstyles as you enter the ground, for academy games they are a bit hit and miss. When City play Manchester United a commerative programme is normally issued with assistance of this sites main contributors

Toilets

Toilets can be found in the social club or directly behind the main stand(turn left as you go through the turn styles). There is an extra set of toilets in the right hand corner, facing the pitch as you enter the ground

Refreshments/Social Club

For those of you wanting an alcholic drink Hyde's social club is on the right as you enter the ground. Tea/Coffee, Burgers an array of sweets ,Pies etc can be purchased from the little hut under the main stand. There is also a refreshment hut on the far side of the ground this however only tends to be open when a large crowd is expected

Getting there

By Road
M60 junction 24, take the M67 (towards Sheffield) to junction 3 (Hyde Dukinfield Stalybridge.) Once on exit slipway keep to right-hand lane heading for Hyde centre. At traffic lights at end of slipway turn right onto Clarkway. Once on Clarkway/Reynard Street at the second set of lights turn left (MORRISONS superstore will be on your left) onto Mottram Road. At the first set of lights on Mottram Road turn right onto Lumn Road. After approximately 200 yards you will come to a 'giveway' sign. There you turn left onto Walker Lane where after approximately 50 yards you will see Hyde Leisure Pool on your left. The entrance to Ewen Fields is to the right hand side of the leisure pool.

By Train/Bus
Newton (For Hyde) is the closest station to the ground. Trains depart Manchester Piccadilly every 30 minutes (destination Hadfield).
On arrival at Newton (For Hyde) station you need to cross under the tracks and walk down Castle Street to the main road (Commercial Brow/Halton Street). Turn left and walk over the motorway bridge (you will be able to see the floodlights ahead of you) and down the hill until you get to the traffic lights. Turn left onto Mottram Road and then first right onto Grange Road North, first right again leads you into Miles Street and the entrance to the football ground is at the end of the street. Approx 10 minute walk from the station.

There are a number of buses that travel close to the ground and even more that travel to Hyde Bus Station. I would advise visiting the GMPTE Journey Planner..
