Huddersfield Terriers Silence City Bark

City's third academy fixture of the season saw them play in an entertaining fixture which finished all square.

The story however could have been completely different if the City forwards had their shooting boots on and the Huddersfield keeper had not decided to have an absolute blinder of a game.

Within the opening fifteen minutes the keeper spread himself to deny Robbie Mak and chances from a number of young Blues before Alex Nimely was guilty of missing an open goal and then the keeper went one step further when he dived to his left to keep out Robbie Mak's penalty kick after make shift left back Gregg Cunningham had been brought down in the box

Mak however managed to give City the lead on 31 minutes when he raced past The Terriers defence and although forced wide by the keeper managed to find the back of the net. Seven minutes later a flowing move involving Kieran Trippier and Tom Smith gave Alex Nimely the opportunity to head home from close range and double his sides advantage.

However a brace of goals from Huddersfield's Irish striker, Dave Heagney either side of the break saw the score line levelled and although despite stepping the pressure up in the last fifteen minutes City could not find the elusive winner, although Abdisalam Ibrahim did have the ball in the net but he was clearly offside

City's next game is at Middlesbrough's Academy on Saturday the 13th
