Courtney Meppen Walters (ex Husbands) was an outstanding player with Bridge Colts(Salford) and at the age of 10 passed through a six-week trial with Manchester City and was signed on as a member of the Blues' Academy .

 

City coaching staff were so impressed with Courtney's skills and natural talent for the game during the trials, they had no hesitation in signing him.

 

He also had trials with Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers and the Wanderers were also impressed enough to offer him an academy place

 

Represented England at U16 & U17 level
