Manchester City 2 Liverpool 2

Roman-Angel 23 min

Bunn 78 min

City's academy side are quickly becoming the draw specialists at this level with this being their sixth of the season with five of them ending two a piece.

It was queit an even game with both sides fielding a number of foreign starlets in their opening eleven. Liverpools side contained players from Iceland, Cameroons, Hungary and Portugal while City had 3 from Norway, which delighted the large contigent of watching Scandanvians, including ex City keeper Tobias Johansen, and one from Spain.

The first real chance of the game fell City's way , when Adam Drury's ball down the line fell to Harry Bunn who cut inside from the right and fired in a shot which took a deflection and sailed over the bar for a corner.

Liverpool's England international and ex City target Raheem Sterling was causing problems around the box and twice Paul Clowes was adjudged to have fouled him, but fortunately the free kicks in dangerous positions came to no avail,

Juan Roman Angel gave City the lead on twenty three minutes with his fourth goal of the season. It all came about after Adam Drury had hit the bar ,the ball fell out to Juan on the right of the box, with one of his famous jinx he flashed in another shot which hit the underside of the bar and bounced over the line.

A slight knock to Courtney Meppen Walters forced a change in defence for City and whilst they were still re-adjusting Liverpool equalised. Erik Johansen tipped over a twenty five yard shot from Connor Coady and from the resulting corner, the ball was cleared as far as Craig Roddan and his shot settled into the bottom corner of the net.

City were struggling to get to grips with the speed of Sterling and the long legs of Michael Ngoo and it was no surprise when they took the lead on sixty nine minutes, with Sterling setting up  Kristian Emilsson to score with some ease from just inside the box.

This City side have some spirit about them and yet again the spectators watching from the sidelines had to settle for another draw., when on seventy eight minutes they equalised. A forceful run from Roman-Angel found Drury in the box his delicate lay off found Harry Bunn and he notched up his eleventh of the season courtesy of the post.
