(09/12/2010)- City Win Youth Friendly

With the foul wintry weather recently City's youth team were desperate to get a game and so they managed to arrange a behind closed doors friendly with Rochdale's youth team in preperation for hopefully the youth cup match against Oldham Athletic next week. City won the game six nil and in fact were five nil up at half time. The goals came from Paul Clowes who knows were the back of the net is on the very odd occasions he gets forward(take note Nigel lol). A brace from the spanish enigma Joan Roman Angel and finally mr goal himself; Harry Bunn bagged himself a hat-trick. Lets hope for a similar performance next week. Interestingly as we at MCRAA thought Loris Karius started the match because the academy goalkeepers that we have used this season are too old. Tom Halsall came on in the second half so they will presumably be first choice and substitute for the youth cup campaign. The game also saw the inclusion of Swiss youth international Freddie Veseli as he has only just turned 18. The full line up was:

City:  Karius (Halsall), Coulsen, Meppen Walter, Kennedy, Veseli (T Skogsrud), Clowes, Drury, Evans (K Skogsrud), Bunn (Hippias), Angel Roman (Ruznak), Henshall (Robinson).
