Norwegian side Stromsgodset played two games at City's Academy headquarters today. The first game at Under 16 level finished 1-1 with Issac Buckley opening the scoring for City before a much older visitors side equalised.
The second game followed immediately and was billed as an under 18 fixture. City took a two goal lead through Croatian trialist Alex Cvetovich, before the Norwegian side fought back, their first goal was a spectacular strike from distance and the equaliser came in the dying minutes after Nathaniel Oseni had been sent off for a professional foul and although the incident was clearly in the box, the referee awarded a free kick , yards outside

We will be staying in central Manchester at an apartment hotel and train at the academy to Manchester City (Platt Lane). Boys team will play two matches against both Bolton and Manchester City, while the junior team will meet Manchester City.
A under 17 City side crushed visitors Birmingham City in the sunshine at Platt Lane. On reflection the score line could and should have been a great deal higher. With only the woodwork and at least half a dozen fine saves by the vistors keeper keeping the score line down to five.
City gave an appearance to new French signing Seko Fofana, but he was out shone by the performance of Jorge Inimata, not much is known about Jorge, but we seem to recall him playing for City in a pre season friendly at the beginning of the 2012/13 in ColwynBay.
A brace of goals from Inimata, and two for James Horsfield plus one for Dominic McHale ensured a thumping and morale boosting win
