(17/03/2011)-Academy side defeat Rhyl

Ex Rhyl Players Neil Roberts and Simon Davies (and now members of the City set up) took a squad of under 19 year old players from their development centre which  included several overseas international players, from Citys Abu Dhabi set up

The final score  for the arranged match :-

Rhyl - 1 (James Stead, 23)

Man City - 3 (Avery - 27, Ema - 44, Ruben - 87)

Needless to say we have never heard of any of the players who scored for City, so it would be true to say although playing under the name of Manchester City, the majority of the side were their just for the experience

and this would be the same side that play at Platt Lane in the evening on a regular basis, with their last game being a 6-2 win over Fleetwood

(15/03/2011)-Fischer close to signing

News reaches us here at MCRAA towers that City might be close to signing much sort after Danish prospect Viktor Fischer.

We brought you the story back in November of how the young striker was on trial from FC Midtjylland,

His talent has not gone unnoticed across Europe, with clubs queuing up to secure his signature, well his club can confirm they have received bids for him, and despite keen interest from Ajax, they are not one of the clubs to have bid for him.

Soren Lerby is also the official representative of Viktor and so with Rekik on his way to City I am sure that he is happy to place one of his other players with our club?

(15/03/2011)-Dutch player for City?

Manchester City are embroiled in a row with Feyenoord after attempting to lure away highly-rated teenager Karim Rekik.

The 16-year old Dutch centre-back is understood to be close to signing a four-year deal with City after they beat off competition from Inter Milan and Juventus.

City have offered Rekik a professional contract to quit Holland and move to England. However, the move has been complicated by Feyenoord's plan to ask the Dutch FA to probe the case.

However Rekik's agent Soren Lerby a former Denmark international is quoted as saying he has done nothing wrong.

He told De Telegraaf: 'I am an experienced professional, I have been a player and a coach for many years and I well aquatinted with Fifa rules. I respect those rules and nothing has been broken.

'If a player who does not have a contract with them wants to go abroad, I cannot stop him.

(08/03/2011)-Reece Wabara for Crewe?

City youngster Reece Wabara hasn't joined the Railwaymen on loan, despite today's reports in the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail suggested that Wabara had finally been 'given the nod' to join the Alex after last week's move fell through due to Kolo Toure's failed drug test.

Dario though says the situation is still very much the same, with the City unwilling to loan out their defender for the time being. He says he will be getting back in touch with David Platt regarding the deal next week.

Dario is quoted as saying: 'I haven't done anything with the boy from Manchester City.

'I haven't spoken to Platty and at the time he told me it would be a week or so before they knew where they were with it.

'If we have a great win on Saturday and defend well then I may not need to bring another one in, but he is the only one we have in mind.
