MAR 29-Opening draw in Italy

It looks like City have drawn their opening game against Genoa in Italy 0-0, its not clear if the game has been decided on penalties

MAR 27-City sign former Arsenal Youngster

 

City have completed the signing of Denzeil Boadu, who was released by Arsenal late last year.

The England youth international, who operates in an attacking role, will now link up with City's academy. 


"They allow me to express myself on the pitch & the quality of everything is high this is why I've decided to sign for City" he declared on his twitter account

However, there were some shocks with regards to those who were let go, chief amongst them Denzeil Boadu, a highly-skilful playmaker who the club worked hard to sign from Tottenham Hotspur. Boadu, despite impressing for the U18s this season, was not offered a scholarship, although it has since emerged that the situation may have something do with unpaid fees towards Tottenham for the youngster’s services

MAR 21-City in pursuit of Peru Winger

Manchester City are in talks with Peruvian outfit Universitario over teenage midfielder Rafael Guarderas, according to reports in Lima.

 

Reports in South America have claimed that Universitario, who are coached by ex-Newcastle and Aston Villa midfielder Nolberto Solano, are in negotiations over a summer transfer with some Argentinean sources going as far to say a deal is done.

 

The 19-year-old winger impressed at the South American Under-20 Championships earlier this year - a tournament which City scouted extensively.

15 MAR-City in pursuit of Dutch teenager



Man City are trying to poach another youngster from Holland.

This time it's Rodney Kongolo (Feyenoord). Just turned 15 a couple months ago. Arsenal en Chelsea are also in the hunt. Terence Kongolo (Older brother of Rodney) is part of Feyenoord's first team squad and a big mate of Karim Rekik (Played in same youth team for years at Feyenoord)

15 MAR-Ex Player joins Stockport County

 

Darije Kalezic is set to add Javan Vidal to his Stockport County squad, subject to approval.  

Manchester-born Javan, who can play anywhere down the right, came through the ranks at Manchester City. He made one appearance for the Citizens when he started a League Cup tie away to West Brom in 2010-11, with the rest of his senior football taking place through loans. After a brief spell at Grimsby he then joined SPL side Aberdeen, helping the Dons finish in a Europa League spot and earned himself a place in the England U20 side.  

 

After that he spent time at Derby and Chesterfield, then left Manchester City in search of first-team football elsewhere. Vidal joined Greek top flight side Panetolikos before returning to the UK last summer, when he spent time on trial with Bury

13 MAR-Former EDS/Academy player on trial at Port Vale



The Port Vale FC reserve squad to take on Walsall on Wednesday(14/3) contained no less than six trialists. 

One of the trialists was Bradley Robinson.Robinson joined City from Manchester United in 2006 and was part of Man City’s elite development squad. 

7 MAR -Wabara returns to City

 

Manchester City youngster Reece Wabara has called time on his loan move at Blackpool due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
Wabara has made just one substitute appearance since his arrival.


And the City starlet, who has also represented England at Under-20 level, believes his football development would be better suited elsewhere and has returned to the Etihad.

He Tweeted: "All the best to Blackpool for the rest of the season! I felt it was best I left to get more game time and continue my progression!"

 
 
 




7 MAR-Johansen Joins Scunthorpe on Loan

Eirik Johansen has joined Scunthorpe United on loan.

The Manchester City goalkeeper has been brought in on an initial one month loan after Iron stopper Sam Slocombe was ruled out for at least four weeks with a tear in his thigh muscle.

 

4 MAR 2013-Players Where-Abouts

Academy goal keeping coach Max Johnson has joined Barrow on loan, whilst current Academy keeper Liam Sharpe has gone on another loan spell, previously having spent some time at Norwich City he his now at Leicester City.

 

Under 16 player George Jones having been released by City, is now back at his former club Chester City
