Current under 16 player Gabriel Almeida has been called up for Brazil  Under 17’s and Tosin Adarabayio has now been included in the England under 16 side for their victory shield fixture against Scotland.

Former academy player Kingsley Grandison recently appeared for Stockport County in a friendly win over Finland Under 19’s, currently at Cheadle Heath Nomads, the former player has also been at Racing Portuense(Spain), New Mills and Salford City.

Another former academy player Angelos Tsiaklis is currently in Cyprus with Anorthosis after playing for Wrexham and FC United

Domenico Berardi

Manchester City are on the trail of Italian striker Domenico Berardi.

The 18-year-old has been starring for Serie B side Sassuolo scoring three goals in 10 appearances in the process.

His agent, Giuseppe Galli, says Premier League champions City have joined Juventus and Roma in the race for the teenager's signature and have sent scouts frequently to watch him playing for Sassuolo.

Alen Halilovic

Manchester City are looking to beat Manchester United and Real Madrid to Dinamo Zagreb's record-breaking midfielder Alen Halilovic.

A three-man delegation from City travelled to Croatia this week to negotiate with Zagreb over the 16-year-old who is already being touted as the next Luka Modric.

Ajax beat Man City to PSV kid Riechedly Bazoer

Manchester City have missed out on  PSV Eindhoven defender Riechedly Bazoer.

Bazoer toured City's facilities and appeared set to sign.But he has now committed to Ajax, where he will train and play friendlies this season before being formally registered next year

Man City alerted as Zakaria Bakkali wants out of PSV 

City have been alerted to a contract row between  PSV Eindhoven and Zakaria Bakkali.

The teenage midfielder has attracted offers from City over the last 12 months.De Telegraaf says despite committing himself to PSV earlier this year, Bakkali is now desperate to quit the Dutch giants. A move to England is most likely for Bakkali.

Derby will sell Man City, Arsenal target Will Hughes

Nigel Clough admits he could be forced to sell Will Hughes.  City are tracking the 17 year-old.

"If anybody wants him, they know it will be serious money,” he told The Derby Telegraph.

"Nothing has changed. If an offer comes in for Will or any player, it will be judged on its merits. If we think it is good business and we can do something with it, then we will do it."We see the list of scouts for our matches at Pride Park and it is their job to be watching all the good young talent in the Championship and below."When a 17-year-old looks to have the ability Will has, then it is bound to attract attention. Feyenoord split over keeping Man City winger Omar Elabdellaoui 

Omar Elabdellaoui is winning over Feyenoord coach Ronald Koeman. Only last month, Elabdellaoui appeared set to cut short the loan as he struggled to settle.

But now Koeman enthuses: "I must say he is doing pretty well."

Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel admits they could still lose the youngster in January: "That's the deal with City. A decision has yet been taken, but the fact is that Omar gets little playing time. Soon we will see what for all parties is the best decision."

Man City youngster Karim Rekik rejects Tunisia approach

Karim Rekik has resisted an approach from the Tunisia FA.

The talented Holland youth international, 17, also qualifies for Tunisia and was offered a senior debut by their FA."I thanked them. But I focus at this time on the Oranje national team and hope to succeed with them in the future," said Rekik.

(18/11/2012)- Fixed fortunes for Academy sides

In a blank weekend for City in the Academy League, they hosted the junior sides of Brighton & Hove Albion at Platt Lane.

The under 16 side registered a 2-0 win but the run of poor results at under 18 level continued as the team lost 1-2.

Manchester City are planning on giving rising Japanese star Hideki Ishige a trial ahead of a possible move to England.Reports in the Japan suggest that City have made an offer for the 18-year-old, who plays for Shimizu S-Pulse but they appear to be wide of the mark.

The Shimizu manager is quoted as saying: ‘There is interest in him, not just Man City but many clubs in Europe and he deserves it. He’s a real fantastic talent. ‘As far as I’m concerned, he’s not for sale and we want him to be a part of S-Pulse for the next few years to come. There has been no offer, City just want to see him first hand and train with some of the top players in the world.’
