November Player of the Month

With the main reserve team being unbeaten during November (Omitting the UAE game) it was perhaps obvious that we would look to the defence to select our reserve player of the month. So after making that choice the candidate that stood out during November was Belgian Youth International Dedryck Boyata. The player that also deserves a mention is James Poole; if he had not won last month's award could have won this month's also. So anyway Congratulations to Dedryck who with the 1st team playing in many matches over Christmas and early in the New Year and with injuries and African Nations games he might get a place on the bench should he continue this form.

The month of November was quite a dark one for the academy and so it was very difficult to really point out a player that has performed at a high level. However the player that scored two league goals and a friendly goal and did not shy away from any of his responsibilities was Swedish Youth Player; Big John Guidetti. As with Dedryck John has continued his form into December but unfortunately will not be able to showcase his abilities further in the Youth Cup as this is his final eligible season. Congratulations to John for being the 3rd different winner this season

October Reserve Player of the Month

After considering just the two reserve games this month I felt that the player that played well in both games has to be James Poole as he contributed so much to the victory up in Sunderland and he was instrumental in setting up so many chances against Burnley and got us the penalty that David Ball should have scored from. So well done James you take our second reserve award of the season.

The October Academy player of the month is .......

Awarded to Harry Bunn. Despite City winning only one of their four games Harry Bunn has not shy'ed away from putting himself about and was very much instrumental in the latest demolition of Stoke at Platt lane. So Harry, keep up the good work.
